George Corn was born in Shelby, North Carolina. He was admitted to practice in the Montana District Courts and the U.S District Court, District of Montana in 1981. George served as the Ravalli County Attorney from 1991 through 2010.

General Practice including Personal Injury and Wrongful Death, Civil Litigation, Public Road Law, and Criminal Defense. George primarily practices out of the firm’s Hamilton offices.

Memberships and Activities

George is a member of the State Bar of Montana and an inactive member of the State Bar of California. He served as President and Board Member of the Montana County Attorney’s Association, the Corrections Advisory Council and the Gambling Advisory Council. He has testified on numerous occasions at the Montana Legislature on matters of state and county concern. As Ravalli County Attorney, George was responsible for providing civil advice for all county officials and their departments, defending the county in civil suits, and prosecution of all felony cases occurring in the county, as well as misdemeanor cases occurring outside municipalities. Over the past 30 years he has served on many boards and committees in Ravalli County. He was a founding member of the Bitterroot Youth Home Advisory Board. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Valley Veterans Service Center and Bitterroot Cross Country Ski Club. George is an Army veteran and served in Alaska after completing both Ranger and Airborne School. Before law school he worked as an Instructor and Course Director for the Outward Bound schools in Colorado and North Carolina.
